Nepali team for ACC U-19 Asia Cup announced

KATHMANDU:- The Nepali squad set to compete in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from December 12 onward has been officially announced.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced a 15-member team led by Captain Ashok Dhami. The lineup features Neeraj Kumar Yadav, Dilshad Ali, Abhishek Tiwari, Sibrin Shrestha, Sahil Patel, Dayanand Mandal, Nischal Chhetri, Asish Lohar, Nitesh Patel, Chandan Ramaroshan BK, Bipin Sharma, Vansh Chhetri, and Yubaraj Khatri.

Nepal’s opening match is set against Sri Lanka on December 13. Following this, Nepal will face Bangladesh on December 15, and then Afghanistan on December 17. All these matches will take place at the Sevens Stadium. The tournament will feature eight competing teams.

Group ‘A’ includes India, Pakistan, UAE, and Malaysia, while Group ‘B’ consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Nepal. Matches will be held at both the ICC Academy and the Sevens Stadium.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals scheduled for December 19. The final match is slated for December 21. RSS
