Nepali Congress’s 15th General Convention to begin on October 1st : Shashank Koirala

KATHMANDU:- The Nepali Congress Central Election Committee has urged the party’s active members, as well as leaders and cadres at all levels, to participate enthusiastically in the ward-level conventions scheduled to begin on  October 1st, 2026.
In accordance with the decision of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee, the election process at the ward level—part of the 15th Central General Convention—is set to begin on October 1st
Dr. Shashank Koirala, Coordinator of the 15th Central General Convention Organizing Committee, issued a statement today announcing that election officers have been deployed to all 77 districts and have commenced work to conduct the ward-level elections..
The statement mentions that the District Election Officer has conducted extensive discussions regarding the election with responsible party office-bearers and members at both the district and local levels, and has also completed tasks such as deploying polling officers to the ward level.
The committee earnestly requests all active members, as well as party bodies and units at all levels, to disregard any rumors or misleading information and to participate enthusiastically in the ward-level conventions and the election process commencing on October 1st, 2026.
