Nepali badminton team departing for Bhutan on Tuesday

KATHMANDU:- The Nepali badminton team is all set to leave for Thimphu, Bhutan on Tuesday to participate in the Junior South Asian Games.
A 12-member team of three different age groups will compete in the Games that will be held from August 15 to 18. The U-15 male team consists of Deep Thing and Sudesh Rajakoti, while the U-15 female team includes Sharnim Shrestha and Nibha Rai. Similarly, Subin Shrestha and Sadip Rai are in the U-17 male category, while Rihana Sherchan and Dilasha Thapa are in the U-17 women’s category.
Prince Dahal and Kshitiz Khanal are competing under the U-20 male category, while Rashila Maharjan and Ayushma Nepal are competing under the U-20 female category. Sunil Barahi is the coach, and Birendra Shrestha is the manager in the Nepali team travelling to Bhutan. Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Tanka Lal Ghising, bade farewell to the team amid a programme here on Monday.
