Asian Games Men’s Qualifier: Nepal enters final

KATHMANDU:- Nepal cricket team entered the final in the Asian Games Men’s Qualifier defeating Oman by 8 wickets today in a match played in Singapore.  

In today’s game, Oman set a target of 95 runs in 20 overs. Nepal chased the target at just 9.2 overs.

Captain Sufyan Mehmood played highet scored 38 runs in 42 balls for Oman. Besides, Mohammed AI Balushi scored 9 runs in 14 balls, Zubair AI Balushi scored 22 runs in 14 balls, Muzaffar Shiralkar scored 16 runs in 14 balls, Issa AI Balushi scored 1 run in 8 balls, Wasim AI Balushi scored 1 runs in 9 balls.

Player of the match, Karan KC took 3 wickets. Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane each took 2-2 wickets. Shahab Alam, Kushal Malla, and Dipendra Singh Airee took one wicket each.

Nepal achieved the target with Lokesh Bam’s unbeaten 44 runs in 26 balls. Kushal Bhurtel scored 20 runs in 8 balls, Aasif Sheikh scored 1 run in 2 balls, Rohit Paudel scored 21 runs in 20 balls.

Sameer Othman took 2 wickets against Nepal.
