NATHM Indoor Cricket Championship 2026 held on August 25
KATHMANDU:- The Nepal Academy of Tourism, Hotel and Mountaineering (NATHM) is set to organize the “NATHM Indoor Cricket Championship 2026.” The tournament will take place at the Velocity Cricket Arena in Kathmandu from August 25 to 28.
Sixteen college teams pursuing bachelor’s degrees from across the country will participate in the event. The organizers have stated that the tournament will be conducted in two stages: a group stage followed by a knockout stage.
The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs. 80,000, while the runner-up will receive Rs. 40,000. Additionally, special individual awards will be presented to the Player of the Tournament, Best Batsman, and Best Bowler.
The organizers stated that the primary objective of this tournament is to provide a competitive platform for college-level cricketers and to further strengthen collaboration and relationships among the colleges.
Registration for the competition is open on a first-come, first-served basis. As participation is limited to 16 teams, interested colleges are urged to register in a timely manner.
Rabindra Gupta, the competition’s Technical Director, has expressed confidence that the NATHM Indoor Cricket Championship 2026 will provide an excellent opportunity for college-level cricketers to showcase their talent.
He stated that the tournament is viewed not merely as a competition for the title, but as a significant platform for fostering discipline, sportsmanship, leadership skills, and team spirit. “We are committed to providing all participating teams with an experience of fair, well-organized, and high-quality competition.”
“We believe that this tournament will not only identify new talent but also make a positive contribution to shaping the future of Nepali cricket,” said Gupta.
To make the tournament even more engaging, live broadcasts, food stalls, and entertainment programs will also be organized.
