Massive fire breaks out in garment factory in Bajhang, industry completely destroyed

BAJHANG:- A massive fire broke out last night at a garment factory in Bagthala Bazaar, Kedarshyun Rural Municipality -4, Bajhang.

It is believed that the fire broke out at the Honainath Garment Industry run by local Pushparaj Bhatta at around 12:45 AM due to an electrical short circuit.

According to District Police Office Information Officer Inspector Lokendra Singh Thagunn, the industry, which was operating in a one-storey, three-room, thatched building with a zinc roof, was destroyed in the fire.

A four-member police team led by Police Inspector Harak Singh Faral from the temporary police post in Bagthala was deployed to the scene upon receiving information about the incident at around 1:30 AM.

Police said the fire was extinguished after 2 AM with the help of police and local residents.

Initial reports indicate that everything inside the factory was destroyed by the fire, but no fire-induced human casualties have been recorded.

According to the police, detailed information about fire fire-induced financial loss is yet to be ascertained.
