Indian origin couple Anuradha and Vikas Sinha donated 20 million US dollars to have the college named after them

TEXAS:- Anuradha and Vikas Sinha, a couple of Indian origin, have donated $20 million to the University of Texas to establish a college of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics. The college will be named after them.

The university has announced that the new college will be named the Anuradha and Vikas Sinha College of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics, and it will create new opportunities for students and faculty.

UNT President Harrison Keller said, “The commitment to development and research will create new opportunities for our students and faculty to build, study, and implement these technologies, advancing the central priorities of our ‘Look North: UNT 2030’ strategic plan—how we prepare students for a changing labor market, accelerate interdisciplinary research and innovation, and create lasting value for North Texas and the state.”

This college will operate based on the Department of Applied Intelligence and Information Technology—which focuses on the creation and application of intelligent systems—and the Department of Information and Learning Applications—which focuses on how information and intelligent systems operate within human and organizational contexts.

It will serve as an academic and research center focused on artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, and data analytics.

This college will bring together expertise in fields such as AI, cybersecurity, data science, advanced analytics, health informatics, information science, library science, and learning technologies.
