Humla-Bajura border dispute : Karnali corridor blocked

HUMLA:- Piluchaur section of the Karnali corridor has been blocked.

Youths from Bajura have obstructed vehicular movement from Piluchaur to Kuwadi stream along the corridor highway over the issues of clash at Chyachaur on May 19.

Earlier, the Himali Youth Group of Bajura has blocked the road demanding treatment of injured and bringing the culprits to justice in the clash following dispute on construction of police post at Lampata Chyachaur by the Sudurpaschim provincial government.

Then the district administration of Bajura had coordinated with the youth group and agreed to facilitate fulfil their demands, and the closure was withdrawn for 24 hours.

The youths have blamed the Humla side for neglecting the decisions made through the all party, stakeholders meeting held on May 22.

Meanwhile, the Humla district administration is holding an all-party meeting today to formulate collective view about the incident of clash.

Clash had occurred at Lampata, Himali Rural Municipality-3 in Bajura district over the construction of the police post.
