High Court releases Durga Prasai on bail of Rs 28 lakh 

KATHMANDU:-  The High Court has ordered the release of Durga Prasai, on bail of Rs 28 lakh. Prasai, who was arrested by Nepal Police from Siliguri, India, following a royalist protest, has been released in court on a bail of Rs 28 lakh.

The Dillibazaar Prison administration released medical practitioner Prasai on Monday late night.

He has been ordered to be released on bail in both the case related to the royalist demonstration held on March 15 and the banking offense.

Although it is not certain that he is innocent, the court ordered Prasai to be released on bail, saying that he is suffering from cancer.
