India stops Nepalis at Gaurifanta checkpoint

KATHMANDU:- India has restricted Nepalis from entering India via the Gaurifanta checkpoint. 

Nepalis who aim to enter India from Gadda Chauki and Gaurifanta checkpoints have returned by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), one of the returnees, Dipak Saud of Achham said.

It has been said that after the latest situation in Nepal and inmates fled from jails across the country, and the possible entry to India may be restricted due to border restrictions on Nepalis.

India allowed only those who had an Aadhar Card. From which Nepali people who were heading to India for a job have been stranded at the checkpoint area.
