Heavy rain recorded in some districts today

KATHMANDU:- Different districts across the country experienced heavy rain on Saturday.     

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Lamjung, Rolpa, Pyuthan and Kavre recorded heavy rain in the past 12 hours.

The Department stated that Lamjung district received heavy rain (87.4 mm) while Rolpa recorded 65.2 mm and 74.6 mm in Pyuthan district. Likewise, Kavre district received 63.6 mm of rainfall in the past 12 hours.

Likewise, Kaski, Gulmi and Dhankuta districts also recorded heavy rain.

Meteorologist at the Department Binu Maharjan said that the heat wave condition in the Tarai part of the country will be reduced from today after the rain.

The Department also stated that rain will continue for some more days.

In its weather bulletin, the Department mentioned that generally cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the remaining hilly and Himalayan regions of the country, while partly cloudy conditions will prevail elsewhere. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall at a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of these provinces, it said.(RSS)
