Finance Minister Khanal discusses private sector safety, investment

KATHMANDU:- Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal held a discussion with representatives of business entities on how the present economic crisis could be tackled with safety to private sector and restoration of investment atmosphere.

During a meeting held at the Finance Ministry on Tuesday, discussion was held on measures to ensure safety to the private sector and create investment-friendly environment, said President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chandra Prasad Dhakal.

President Dhakal told the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that various issues like safety, extension of tax payment deadline, grant, and facilitation through Nepal Rastra Bank to simplify insurance claim as well as credit flow featured significantly in the discussion.

The Finance Minister took the matters of private sector positively and directed for the immediate implementation of some of the issues, he underlined. Various business complexes and houses of businessmen have vandalized and torched in the recent Gen-Z protest.
