‘Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill-2082’ passed

KATHMANDU:- The House of Representatives has passed a proposal presented seeking consideration on the ‘Alternative Development Finance Mobilisation Bill-2082’.

Today’s meeting of the HoR unanimously passed the proposal tabled by Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle.

Taking part in the deliberations on the proposal, lawmakers—Ashok Chaudhary, Sushil Khadka, Yubraj Dulal, Dr Krishna Hari Budhathoki, Khusbu Oli, Samikshya Baskota, Ganesh Karki, Lima Adhikary (Acharya), Nitima Bhandari Karki, Dr Toshima Karki and Shulav Kharel put forth their views.

Responding to queries raised by lawmakers, Finance Minister Wagle shared that the bill has been introduced to fulfil expectations of development and physical infrastructures from alternative sources. He argued that the bill would help increase returns by incorporating all dimensions of financing.

The bill will also help institutionalise good governance as committed by the present government.
