Eight demonstrators taken under control from Maitighar

KATHMANDU:- The police detained eight youths from the demonstration held at Maitighar Mandal at the call of the Gen Z Group led by Miraj Dhungana.

The youths, including Rabi Kiran Hamal, were taken under control for joining the protest that was organised without taking permission from the respective district administration. The provision is that prior permission from the respective District Administration Office is necessary for organizing any assemblies, demonstrations, sit-ins, or rallies at Maitighar Mandal.

Spokesperson at Kathmandu District Police Range and Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, confirmed the arrest of eight demonstrators.
