Cold wave grips western Terai including Kanchanpur, disrupting daily life

KATHMANDU:- A cold wave has begun affecting the western Tarai, including Kanchanpur, making daily life increasingly difficult. With the onset of the month of Push, dense fog accompanied by a cold wave has led to a sharp drop in temperatures across the region.

The sudden increase in cold has begun to impact normal activities, with health problems reported particularly among the elderly, children, and individuals with chronic illnesses, according to the District Public Health Office.

The District Administration Office, Kanchanpur, has urged people to avoid going outdoors unless necessary due to the extreme cold. It has also requested families to pay special attention to the health and safety of children and senior citizens.
