China continuously sharing hydrometeorological information with Nepal: Embassy
KATHMANDU:- China has been sharing hydrometeorological information with Nepal and that both the countries have maintained a close communication on transboundary disaster management, said Chinese Embassy in Nepal, dismissing rumour about China not warning Nepal of the Bhotekoshi flash flood.
The response of the Embassy spokesperson with regard to rumours spread in the form of comments in media and news portal stated that Chinese team had two meetings with Nepali team in recent past on the issue, one in May and another in August.
“Chinese expert teams have always made every effort, within the limits of existing technologies, to conduct monitoring, assessment and analysis, and have shared important information with the Nepali side in a timely manner”, read the statement.
