Chance of rain in the Terai areas of Madhes, Koshi and Bagmati provinces
KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported the partial influence of both monsoon and westerly winds across the country. As a result, there is partial cloud cover in the mountainous and hilly regions.
Light rain is occurring in one or two places within Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Fog has settled in some areas of the Terai region across Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces.
This afternoon, the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will be generally cloudy. The mountainous and hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will experience partial cloudiness. The Terai regions of the country will also see partial cloudiness.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in a few places across the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, there is a possibility of rain—ranging from light to moderate—in one or two places across the Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, and Bagmati provinces.
Tonight, generally cloudy conditions are expected in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the mountainous and hilly areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as the Terai region, will see partly cloudy skies. Fog is expected in the Terai region during the morning hours. The Department has stated that there is a possibility of light rain in one or two places across the hilly and Terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
