Ballot boxes from remote areas being collected by helicopters

KATHMANDU:- The Nepali Army has stated that the election to the House of Representatives (HoR) was concluded in a peaceful manner today in cooperation and coordination with the other security agencies, local administration and the general public. 

Talking to the RSS after the election this evening, Spokesperson of Nepali Army Rajaram Basnet said the preparations as per the integrated election security plan helped conduct the polls in a secure way.

Basnet shared that the suspicious activities happened by targeting the elections were defused in time with support from other security agencies after getting notices from the public.

The NA personnel were deployed for election purposes since last month.

The helicopters stationed for the poll security would now be used to transport the ballot boxes. As per the planning of the Election Commission (EC), the ballot boxes from polling stations in remote areas would be taken to the concerned Offices of the Returning Officers by the NA helicopters.(RSS)
