Angels Heart and Bhadrakali win in inter-school basketball tournament
KATHMANDU:- Angels Heart and Bhadrakali secured victories in the Junior Boys’ category of the 20th Greenland Inter-School Basketball Tournament on Monday.
Angels Heart defeated HHCA 21–18, with Saurav Shrestha contributing 6 points to the win. Bhadrakali beat Paramount Academy 10–7, aided by Amit Ray’s 5 points. In another match of the same category, Gandaki defeated BMCA 29–15, with Miraj Ali scoring 6 points.
In the girls’ category, Newton defeated JB School 20–13, Basundhara National Academy (BNA) beat Bibhuti 36–15, SEB overcame Vedvyas 26–18, and Tejaswi Academy defeated Manjari 27–14. Newton’s Ireni Rana scored 15 points, BNA’s Purnima Nepali scored 11, SEB’s Manisha Chhetri scored 10, and Tejaswi’s Nisha Pandit scored 13.
In the senior boys’ category, Angels Heart defeated Nature 58–46, while JB beat White Heaven 61–50. Rupesh Paudel of Angels Heart scored 30 points, and Dipesh Sunar of JB scored 12.
