Second statute convention of ruling CPN (UML) begins

LALITPUR:-The ruling CPN (UML) has begun its second statute convention in Lalitpur.

The convention is being held under the slogan, “Building a decisive national power is our resolve, Prosperous Nepal is a happy Nepali national destination.” Party Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the event at the Sunrise Sabha Hall today.

Volunteers have been mobilized to assist representatives and observers from the main Godavari road up to the assembly venue. Inside the hall, 18 seats for office bearers have been arranged in front of a large digital screen. The stage is decorated with the party and national flags, along with staggered digital boards.

Photographs of Pushpalal, Mnamohan Adhikari, and Madan Bhandari are displayed on the left side of the stage, while portraits of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, and Vladimir Lenin are placed on the right.

The convention will discuss the political report, key documents, and a proposal to amend the party statute. According to the UML Publicity and Publication Department, 2,341 participants are attending, including 2,260 delegates and 315 organizers.
