Eva Gir plays Draupadi in the film ‘Panch Pandav’

KATHMANDU:- Eva Giri is set to appear in the role of Draupadi in the film ‘Paanch Pandav’. She is seen sporting the Draupadi look in the film’s poster released by the production team.

Her appearance as Draupadi—looking beautiful in a red outfit complemented by subtle jewelry—captures the audience’s attention. She is depicted wearing a red ‘soldier-cut’ blouse and a matching red saree, evoking the image of Draupadi from the ‘Mahabharata’. The film is directed by Basanta Niraula.

“We have cast Eva in the role of Draupadi for the film,” said Niraula. “Given her popularity among the younger generation, we are confident that she will be equally well-received in this role.”

The film, scheduled for release on Kartik 20 (November 6) to coincide with the Tihar festival, is currently in the final stages of post-production. Director Niraula stated that audiences would experience full Dolby Atmos sound while watching Paanch Pandav.

Produced under the banner of Kali Rani Films, the movie features Haribansha Acharya, Jitu Nepal, Aryan Sigdel, Mahesh Tripathi, and Sushil Sitaula in the roles of the main ‘Panch Pandav’. Additionally, Deepashree Niraula, Sarita Giri, Binod Nyaupane, Rama Thapaliya, Prashant Tamrakar, Eva Giri, Sita Nyaupane, and Ritesh Paudel (Riteshjang Khatri), among others, also play key roles.

Nabin Shrestha is the presenter of the film, and Kali Rani Shrestha is the producer. Sushil Paudel has written the story, screenplay, and dialogue for ‘Paanch Pandav’. The film will present a story about contemporary Nepali society by drawing upon the characters and symbolism of the five Pandavas from the ‘Mahabharata’.

RR Films, owned by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha, will handle the nationwide distribution of ‘Paanch Pandav’.
