15 families from riverbanks shifted to safer places

BHAKTAPUR:- Fifteen families living on the banks of Hanumante and Godavari rivers have been shifted to safe places due to incessant rainfall causing river flood. 

The swollen Hanumante River flooded the riverbank huts at Balkot, Kaushaltar, Lokantali and Sagbari. Total 92 persons from 15 families on the riverbank were evacuated to the Adarsha Janapremi School of Kausaltar.

Chief of District Police in Bhaktapur, Surya Bahadur Khadka, informed that 92 people from Trivenisthal and the border of Balkot and Lokantali, were taken to safety. (RSS)
