Nepal received Rs 2.12 trillion remittances in eleven months
The Rastra Bank has reported that, as of the end of last Jestha,, (June) the number of Nepalis obtaining final labor approvals (both institutional and individual—new) for foreign employment stood at 367,211, while the number of those obtaining renewed labor approvals was 355,735.
KATHMANDU:- There has been a significant increase in remittance inflows during the first 11 months of the current fiscal year BS 2082/83.
According to the report on the country’s current economic and financial situation—based on data released today by Nepal Rastra Bank covering the period up to the end of Jestha, (June)—remittance inflows rose by 38.2 percent to reach Rs 2,120.80 billion by the end of Jestha, (June).
In the month of Jestha, (June) alone, the remittance inflow stood at Rs 203.89 billion. In the same month of the previous year, the remittance inflow was Rs 176.32 billion.
According to the report, net secondary income (net transfers) reached Rs 23.21 billion during this period. In the corresponding period of the previous year, such income stood at Rs 1,669.51 billion.
