Monsoon winds continue to influence, Rainfall likely in various provinces 

KATHMANDU:- The Weather Forecasting Division has indicated a chance of rain in most places today with effects of the monsoon winds continuing across the country.     

Currently, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces are generally cloudy, while the Madhesh province is partly cloudy, stated the weather bulletin issued on Saturday.     

The Division has also predicted moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Bagmati, Koshi, and Lumbini provinces.     

This afternoon, the weather across the country will be generally cloudy. Some places in the Himalayan and hilly regions are likely to experience moderate rain with thunder and lightning, and some higher Himalayan areas will witness snowfall.     

There is also a chance of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the Terai. 

Tonight too, there will be generally cloudy skies across the country. Some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly areas of Karnali, Sudurpashchim, and Lumbini provinces, may experience moderate rain with thunder and lightning and possibly snowfall.     

Additionally, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some parts of the hilly and Terai regions.     

The Division has urged residents in the hilly and plain areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces to remain alert with possible heavy rainfall in one or two places in these areas.(RSS)
