Three teenage girls drown in pit water in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT:- Three girls from Rajdevi municipality-8 of the district drowned in a water-filled ditch this morning. 

They are Astha Kumari Baitha, 13, Raghani Kumari Yadav, 15, and Mausami Kumari Baitha, 15, of Rajdevi municipality-8, said Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Ram Kumar Mahato.

Mahato added that the incident took place when the girls were trying to cross the water-filled ditch on their way to Gaur municipality-9 to collect grass. Out of seven girls, four girls managed to cross the ditch and the remaining went missing.

Although the security persons rescued the girls from the pit water and rushed to the Provincial Hospital, Gaur for treatment, doctors declared them dead in no time. (RSS)
