Federal Parliament Speaker’s election Schedule made public

KATHMANDU:- The Federal Parliament Secretariat has made public the schedule for the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives to be held on April 5.

The schedule was made public by the General Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, Padam Prasad Pandey, as per the instructions given by the senior member Arjun Narsingh KC, who will preside over the first meeting of the first session of the House of Representatives that began today.

According to the schedule, a notice (nomination) of a proposal in the format of the regulations for electing a member of the House of Representatives to the post of Speaker is scheduled to be registered at the Parliament Secretariat, Singha Durbar from 11 am to 2 pm on April 3. The list of registered candidacies will be published in the order of registration from 2:30 pm on the same day.

The secretariat has stated that the information on the registered proposals will be presented for decision after group discussion and support by the proposal and supporters in the meeting of the House of Representatives to be held on April 5.
