Police persons suffering from freezing cold rescued from Dolpa

KATHMANDU:- The Nepali Army (NA) has rescued five policepersons who had fallen sick due to freezing cold in Dolpa district. 

They were airlifted to Karnali Province Hospital, Surkhet. The heavy snowfall that occurred on the way caused freezing cold that made the police persons sick while they were heading to the District Police Office, Dolpa from the Area Police Office, Damdo in the district.

The police persons were rescued in two flights, according to NA Public Relations and Information Directorate.

Meanwhile, Shreenath Battalion of NA managed life buoy tubes at three places on the bank of Gosaikunda Lake which can be used in case of emergency. The tubes are used for rescue and prevention of drowning in the lake, which is a religious site in Rasuwa district.

The installation of tubes was conducted in the presence of local hotel entrepreneurs, priest at the Gosaikunda Temple and district officials, according to NA. (RSS)
