Curfew imposed in Jitpur Simara sub metropolis of Bara district

KATHMANDU:- The District Administration Office of Bara district has imposed a curfew in Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City from 12:30 PM today, citing rising tensions in the area. Authorities said the decision was taken after clashes escalated between Gen Z youths demonstrating near Simara Airport and groups affiliated with political parties.

According to the administration, the curfew will remain in effect from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM today. All movement, gatherings, rallies, protests, assemblies, meetings, and similar activities have been strictly prohibited during the curfew hours.

The restricted zone covers a 500-meter area on both sides of the Gandak Nahar–Pathlaiya road section and a 500-meter perimeter around Simara Airport.
