Restriction order imposed in Kapilvastu

KAPILVASTU:- A restriction order has been imposed in Kapilvastu from 1 pm this afternoon until another notice.

Janardan Gautam Chief District Officer (CDO), informed that the curfew has been clamped as per the decision of the district security committee.

The order restricts people from making a gathering, meeting, rallies in different places in the district according to the local administration Act 2028 BS section 6 (3) (A).

Individuals violating restriction order will be arrested and punished as per the law.

The restriction order has been imposed after 23 people including security personnel got injured in a scuffle between two community groups at Bagarda in Maharajgunj. Of the injured, four sustained bullet injuries.

Of 23 injured, 11 are Nepal Police personnel, six from Armed Police Force and six demonstrators, according to Santosh Acharya, superintendent of police in the district police office.
