RSP’s Wagle wins from Tanahun-1

TANAHUN:- Dr Swarnim Wagle of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Tanahun Constituency-1 with a wide margin.

According to the final results published by the Office of the Chief Election Officer, Dr Wagle secured 38,040 votes out of a total of 64,880 valid votes.

His closest rival, Govinda Bhattarai of the Nepali Congress, received 16,231 votes. With this result, Dr Wagle won the seat by a margin of 21,809 votes. Meanwhile, Bhagwati Neupane of the CPN-UML also secured a significant number of votes but finished in third place.

According to Bikas Lamsal, Chief of the District Election Office Tanahun, the constituency has a total of 126,882 registered voters, and 53.69 percent voter turnout was recorded in the election.
