579 bodies recovered, 1924 missing, 4451 rescued

KATHMANDU:- National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has stated that 579 bodies of the victims of the Bhotekoshi flash flood have been recovered till 7 pm Friday.

1,924 persons still remain missing while 4,451 people stranded in flood-hit area have been rescued.

For the search and rescue operation some 15,431 security personnel have been mobilized.
