Tamu Lhosar being celebrated 

KATHMANDU:- The Gurung community is celebrating Tamu Lhosar, New Year, today by organizing several programmes across the country.

The Gurung community mark Tamu Lhosar as their New Year on Push 15 every year. In the Gurung language, “Lho” stands for class and “sar” stands for change.

The Gurungs in Kathmandu have been celebrating the festival organizing several programmes with a special programme at Tundikhel to mark their annual festival on Monday.

They get together and perform traditional dances in Tundikhel, attired in traditional costumes, exchanging greetings and feasting on traditional cuisine.
