357 players to compete in Arambha Cup table tennis
KATHMANDU:-A total of 357 players are set to compete in the ‘Aarambha Cup’ National Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament, organized by Aarambha Sanskar School.
Naresh Prasad Shrestha, the Principal of Aarambha, stated that the participation of 357 players—comprising 206 boys and 151 girls from 46 different schools—has been confirmed for the tournament, which begins on Wednesday at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchaur. According to the organizers, preparations for the event have been completed.
The competition will feature 10 different events. Matches will be held in team events (boys/girls) as well as singles categories for boys and girls in the U-10, U-12, U-14, and U-16 age groups. Winners of the top three positions in each singles event will receive cash prizes of 6,000, 3,000, and 1,500 rupees, respectively.
On Tuesday, the participating athletes were presented with T-shirts and wished success in the competition.
The team winning the highest number of gold medals will be declared the team champion and awarded a running shield. The competition will continue until Ashwin 2.
