Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta resigns

KATHMANDU:- Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta has resigned from his post in line with his candidacy in the upcoming election on March 5.

Gupta is currently in Janakpur campaigning for the Rastriya Swatantra Party and is preparing to contest elections on the party’s ticket.

” I have reached Siraha to file candidacy for the upcoming election. I have sent my resignation through email to the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. I have informed about my resignation by telephone,” he said.

He said he would now focus on the election campaign.

Gupta had joined the Sushila Karki-led government as a representative of the younger generation following the GenZ protest.
