Two dead in Hetauda road mishap

MAKWANPUR:- Two died when a truck hit a motorcycle in the Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-19 of Makawanpur district along the East-West Highway.

The 22-year-old driver of the motorcycle, Sanjeet Sangatan of Raksirang Rural Municipality-1 of Makwanpur district, and a pillion passenger, aged 18, Aamosh Thing, died in an accident that occurred on Wednesday morning, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

The gravely injured two were sent to the Churehill Hospital and died in the course of treatment, according to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the office Pushkar Bogati.

According to the Area Police Office, Newarpani, a motorcycle (Na 43 Pa 221) heading towards Manahari from Hetauda Bazaar was hit by a truck (Ga 2 Kha 898) coming towards Hetauda from Newarpani.

Police said that the truck that fled after the accident has been taken into custody from a garage located at Partimachok, Parsa Birgunj Metropolitan City-13.

The truck driver, 36-year-old Anil Sah, a resident of Jeetpursimara Submetropolitan City-3, Bara, is absconding.

District Police Office, Makawanpur, said that a search is underway for him.
