TU Convocation Ceremony: 16 thousand students conferred on degrees

KATHMANDU:- More than 16,300 students were graduated today at the 51st Convocation Ceremony of Tribhuvan University.

Prime Minister and the Chancellor of the University, Sushila Karki, along with senior figures from the academic world, announced that the students had been conferred degrees.

A total of 89,101 students have graduated from the university, including at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, M Phil and PhD levels. For the first time in the history of the university, Nobel laureate Japanese Professor Takaaki Kajita is the chief guest at the ceremony held at local Dasharath Stadium today.

Pro-Chancellor and the Minister of Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun, along with the academics are present in the ceremony.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Deepak Aryal, said that the university is progressively advancing on the path of improvement and congratulated the students who were conferred on degrees on the occasion. RSS
