Thapa elected UML parliamentary party leader

KATHMANDU:- Ram Bahadur Thapa (Badal) has been elected as the parliamentary party leader of the CPN (UML).

After the PP meeting held at UML Headquarters, Chyasal, Thapa was elected unanimously. UML lawmaker Suhang Nembang had also staked his claim for the post of parliamentary party leader, but Thapa was elected unopposed, said lawmaker Ain Bahadur Mahar.

Vice-Chairperson Bishnu Prasad Poudel, General-Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, as well as other office-bearers of the party, congratulated Vice-Chairperson Thapa.

There are 25 lawmakers of the UML in the House of Representatives.
