Supreme Court restores more than 10,000 case files destroyed in Gen Z movement

KATHMANDU:- The Supreme Court has prepared files for more than 10 thousand cases that were destroyed in a fire during the Gen Z movement.

Of the total 24 thousand case files, 20 thousand were lost, while only 4 thousand were saved.

Supreme Court spokesperson Nirajan Pandey said, so far, 10 thousand 3 hundred and 40 case files have been reconstructed with help from service-receiving organizations and the Attorney General’s Office.

The court had requested the Attorney General’s Office, Nepal Bar Association, and involved parties to provide copies of the burned files,

He added that the collection process is ongoing.
