Supreme Court orders not to implement decision to blacklist Sah

KATHMANDU:- The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday issued an interim order not to implement the decision to put Kishori Sah, a candidate of the House of Representatives election from Dhanusha constituency no. 1, on the blacklist.

A single bench of Justice Sharanga Subedi made such an order in a preliminary hearing on the writ petition filed by Sah.

Referring to the letter from the Credit Information Centre Limited, Justice Subedi directed not to implement the decision to put the petitioner on the blacklist until the final verdict was issued adding that the decision to put Sah on the blacklist was irrelevant for now.

The Election Commission (EC) had scrapped the candidacy of Sah by stating that Sah was put on the blacklist of the Credit Information Centre Limited.

Sah had lodged the petition in the SC by challenging the EC’s decision to scrap his candidacy.(RSS)
