Single front needed to resolve crisis, Coordinator Prachanda says

DHANGADI:- Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that a broader single front of leftist and non-leftist forces was needed in the country to resolve the existing crisis.

Addressing a mass meeting organized by the Nepali Communist Party in Dhangadhi on Friday, the former prime minister said that his party was welcoming other leftist parties and the nationalist forces too.

Prachanda shared that efforts are being taken to bring leftist, progressive and democratic forces in the front of the Nepali Communist Party to resolve the country’s challenges created after the Zen-G protests of September 8 and 9.

He appealed to all the like-minded forces to get polarized in the Nepali Communist Party and also directed the party cadres to create a conducive environment for the polls. He viewed that there was no alternative to polls.

On the occasion, Prachanda briefed the audience about the objective of the formation of the Nepali Communist Party and argued that the party was formed by reviewing the weaknesses of the past. “The country will advance on the track framed by the Nepali Communist Party. This party will emerge the largest force (in the upcoming polls),” he claimed.

Also speaking at the mass meeting, Joint Coordinator of the party and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal shared that the party was formed with the spirit to make a new revolutionary party and to work against corruption and rampant anomalies in the country.

Leader of the Nepali Communist Party Dr Bhim Bahadur Rawal said that his party wanted a massive transformation in the country’s current status.

Leaders Girirajmani Pokhrel, Bhanu Bhakta Joshi, Prakash Shah and others also shared their views on party formation and contemporary political issues.

Formed after the unity of more than a dozen left political forces, the Nepali Communist Party organized the first assembly in Dhangadhi on Friday to disseminate messages about the party formation. Such events are scheduled to take place in other provinces too.
