Sandeep Lamichhane appointed Nepali national cricket team captain

KATHMANDU:- The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has appointed Sandeep Lamichhane as the captain of the Nepali national cricket team.

CAN Secretary Paras Khadka announced via a press release that Lamichhane has been assigned the responsibility of captaining the Nepali national team in the One Day format, effective from the ACC Premier Cup scheduled to be held in Malaysia from August 30 to September 12, 2026.

The ACC Premier Cup in Malaysia is considered a significant upcoming international tournament for the Nepali team. The team will compete in the tournament under Lamichhane’s leadership.
