Rain likely in hilly and mountainous regions today; light snowfall possible at high elevations

KATHMANDU:- The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted generally cloudy conditions across the country today, with chances of rainfall in several hilly and mountainous areas.

According to the Division, hilly and mountainous regions are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, while the Terai region will see partly cloudy skies.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces. One or two locations in the Terai regions of Koshi and Lumbini provinces may also receive rainfall. Light snowfall is possible in some higher-altitude areas.

For tonight, generally cloudy conditions are expected in mountainous regions, partly cloudy skies in the hills, and mainly fair weather in the Terai.

The Division has also forecast light rain or snowfall at isolated places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces, as well as in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
