Prohibitory order in Birgunj metropolis

PARSA:- The District Administration Office, Parsa has issued a prohibitory order in Birgunj metropolitan area since this afternoon.

The prohibitory order was imposed to curb the possible clash between the two communities in Birgunj city. Two different communities have been organising protest programmes here in recent days.

Chief District Officer of Parsa, Bhola Dahal, shared that the prohibitory order came into effect in Birgunj metropolis area from1:00 pm Monday until next notice. Any gatherings, assemblies and rallies have been restricted up to Bus Park in the east, Sirsiya bridge in the west, Power House Chowk in the north and Shankaracharya Gate in the south during the order in place.

The prohibitory order was issued in accordance with the Clause 6(3A) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, added Dahal, stating that action would be taken against those violating the diktat.
