Prime Minister Shah leaves for US to attend 81st UN General Assembly
Foreign Ministry sources stated that the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has also shown interest in the issues to be raised at the General Assembly regarding climate change, its impact on Nepal, and the compensation due.
KATHMANDU:- Prime Minister Balendra Shah is set to travel to New York, leading a Nepali delegation to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai has informed that Mayor Shah will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal for the visit to New York to attend the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai said, “We have begun preparations for Prime Minister Balen Shah’s visit to New York to lead the Nepali delegation at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Ministry has moved forward with the necessary preparations.”

Earlier, a Cabinet meeting held on Bhadra 3 had approved the participation of a delegation led by Foreign Minister Khanal in the General Assembly.
