Nepal-India border in Mahottari to be sealed for 72 hours

MAHOTTARI:-  Eleven border points along the Nepal–India border in Mahottari district will remain closed for 72 hours beginning this evening, in view of the Lok Sabha election in Bihar, India, scheduled for coming Tuesday.

According to Mahottari Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav, the borders will be sealed from 6:00 p.m. today until 6:00 p.m. on November 22. He added that a high alert has been issued in light of the election in the bordering Indian state.

Issuing a public notice, the District Administration Office, Mahottari, stated that all cross-border movement except for emergency cases will be completely suspended during the border closure period. (RSS)
