Nepal Envoy Tumbahangphe receives ‘Best Ambassador’ award in South Korea
SOUL:- Nepali Ambassador to South Korea Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangphe has been awarded the ‘Best Ambassador Award 2026’ in Korea.
Out of 116 diplomatic missions and embassies of various countries in South Korea, ambassadors from three countries were specially honored at the ‘2026 Best Ambassador Award’ program. The ambassadors to be honored include Nepali Ambassador to Korea, His Excellency Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangfe, the Ambassador of Peru, and the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan.
She was presented with the honor at a program organized under the ‘Korea Consumer Brand Awards 2026’. The program was attended by eminent personalities and brand representatives from various fields.
According to the organizers, awards were presented in various categories based on consumer trust, social contribution, and diplomatic activism. In the same context, Ambassador Tumbahangphe was awarded the ‘Best Ambassador Award’ in recognition of his role in strengthening relations between Nepal and South Korea.
Receiving the award, Ambassador Tumbahangphe expressed her commitment to further deepen Nepal-Korea relations. The event was also attended by high-ranking representatives from the Korean side. Cooperation between Nepal and South Korea has been expanding in the areas of labor, education, trade, and cultural exchange.
