Jitu Nepal’s film ‘I Am Jitbahadur’ flopped, whereas ‘Lalibazar’ grossed Rs 90 million

KATHMANDU:- Actor Jitu Nepal’s film ‘I Am Jit Bahadur’ has been underperforming at the box office. According to the details released by the Film Development Board on Monday, the film has grossed Rs 3,17,692 till Asad 14, Sunday, (27 June). 9,626 tickets for the film have been sold till this period.

The film, which was released on June 5, had around 100 shows on the first day. However, due to the lack of strong word of mouth, the film lost many shows on the second day itself. By the second week, 95 percent of the film’s shows had already been lost. It seems likely that the film will be withdrawn from all the theaters from this week. The film has not been liked by both the audience and critics.

This year’s first superhit film ‘Lalibazar’, on the other hand, has earned a gross of Rs 93.177 million as of 14 Ashar, according to the board’s data. The film’s earnings in the last seven days are Rs 363,185. As of Sunday, 316,930 tickets for the film have been sold. The film has completed 51 days of screening on Saturday.

Similarly, the film ‘Roll No. 1’, which was released on 15th Jestha, (May 29), has earned a gross of Rs 16,895,938 by selling 65,305 tickets till Sunday. Its gross till the previous Sunday (7th Ashar) was Rs 15,546,668. That is, the film has earned an additional Rs 1,349,270 in the last seven days.
