Few places predicted to have heavy rainfall

KATHMANDU:- Heavy rainfall has been predicted in a few places of hilly region in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces today.

Some places in Tarai belt of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces and in Madhes Province are likely to have moderate rainfall coupled with thunder and lightning, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Some places of Madhes Province and Tarai belt of Koshi Province are forecasted storms.

Currently, the monsoon wind is active across the country. The low pressure belt of monsoon is near its average range. It is generally cloudy throughout the country at present.

Some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces are witnessing light to moderate rainfall now.

Generally cloudy weather is predicted for today.
