Budget announcement at 4pm on coming Friday

KATHMANDU:- The government is unveiling the budget for the coming fiscal year, 2083/84, in the joint meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the National Assembly at 4:00 pm on Friday.

Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal informed the lawmakers to be present in the joint meeting before 3:45 pm on the slated date.

Every year, Jestha 15 of the Nepali calendar has been fixed as the day for budget announcement since the promulgation of the Constitution in 2072 BS.

The day is also observed as the Republic Day. Speaker Aryal today informed the lawmakers that the HoR would meet next at 5:30 on Friday.
