Gandaki defeats Karnali by 9 wickets

PARSA:- Gandaki Province has defeated Karnali Province in today’s match held under Prime Minister Cup One-Day National Cricket Tournament. 

In the match held at Narayani Stadium in Birgunj, Gandaki Province won the match by 9 wickets.

Batting first, Karnali had scored 72 runs in 25.2 overs at the loss of all wickets. For Karnali, Prakash Joshi scored 36 runs while Diwan Pun contributed 14 runs.

For the bowling side, Bipin Khatri and Aparajit Poudel of Gandaki Province took five wickets and three wickets respectively.

In reply, Gandaki surpassed the Karnali total in 13 overs. Sibrin Shrestha and Dipak Dumre scored 40 runs and 22 runs respectively. Bipin Sharma of Karnali Province took one wicket.

Bipin Khatri of Gandaki Province was announced ‘Player of the Match’ today and received Rs 5,000 in cash prize. A total of 10 teams –Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal APF Nepal and seven provinces have been participating in the tournament.

The winner team would get one million rupees while runner-up team would receive Rs 500,000.(RSS)
